WAYS WE HELP
We aim to assist those who have sustained an injury in an equestrian related accident by providing:
- Professional medical and legal advice
- Moral support to both beneficiaries and their families. Often, all that is needed is a listening ear.
- Practical help where it is most needed. In the past, we have provided wheelchairs, special beds, house adaptations, stair lifts, physiotherapy, stable help and financial assistance to help individuals over their immediate and long term problems
Only The Mark Davies Injured Fund is able to help ALL horse people! Help us to continue our work. For every £1 donated, we can help another person in need (donate here). For example,
- £10 pays for a carer for an hour
- £25 pays for relatives to visit
- £50 pays for a Physiotherapy treatment
- £100 funds a Neuro-Physio Session
- £250 funds a Medical Referral
- £1,500 funds a wheelchair
The Fund also provides practical everyday advice on rider safety issues. The MDIRF takes an active interest in the welfare and safety of riders particularly on issues relating to head and body protection, To that end, the team at the MDIRF have compiled a number of help sheets aimed to give you instant practical and experienced advice on a number of issues which you may find useful.
